This website was started in 1999 to include coverage for many school sports and activities that were not being covered by the local newspaper. The varsity sports were being covered, but you seldom (if ever) saw any coverage of jv or middle school teams. About that same time, several other sports sites opened in the area, most of which are no longer around today. My father Bill was a great influence on me, as he had already been "The Voice of The Tigers" at Rosman for many years, having started when my brother was playing youth football. He continued for as long as his health would let him and always enjoyed supporting all of the Tiger Teams, and if they weren't playing, he would often go support the Blue Devils. As a youth minister since 1984, I was always going to various sporting and school events to support members of my youth groups. I published a monthly newsletter, highlighting their achievements, but always wished I could do more to share. I had taken a few computer classes in college, and had tried to keep up with advances, so decided a website would be a great way to share pictures and highlight many of our young people in the county. The first site wasn't much, as I was still learning (and continue to learn), and the early digital pictures certainly left much to be desired. As time has gone by, we have updated the site several times, and I've upgraded my photography equipment. We have also expanded to try and give coverage to other school activities and events as time allows.

Today, we still do all that we can to promote and encourage our students. We don't try to take the place of the local newspapers, but rather supplement what they do, and try to cover the sports that they don't have the personnel or time to cover. We have taken sponsors in the past, and are in the process of setting up to take sponsors of the site again. This will help us to keep our equipment updated, and will also allow us to give a percentage of any sponsorships back to the various sports programs of our local schools. We do not sell our picture and have no desire to do so. From the beginning, they have been free for use and enjoyment by the student athletes, their families and friends, and the schools. We are always happy when our pictures are used to give recognition to the students.
